Events

As part of the project, we held two presentation events.

2018: New Grammar: Sources and Methods

In 2018, at the event "New Grammar: Sources and Methods", we informed the scientific community about the goals and future results of the project (ARRS J6-8256). We defined their value in the light of comparable European research and according to national priorities and needs. We presented openly available corpus databases of grammatical data, which were prepared as part of the project by that time. These are now available for the development of language technology tools and applications for Slovene, as well as an empirically based grammar of the Slovene language. The event took place on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in the Great Hall of the JSI.

2019: Quantitative and Qualitative Corpus Analyzes with New Tools from The National Project New Grammar of Contemporary Standard Slovene: Sources and Methods (J6-8256)

In 2019 we organized the second annual project event entitled "Quantitative and Qualitative Corpus Analyzes with New Tools from The National Project New Grammar of Contemporary Standard Slovene: Sources and Methods (J6-8256)". We presented the freely available programs LIST (tool for frequency lists extraction from corpora) and Q-CAT (tool for creation and analysis of manually annotated corpora), which were developed within the project. We also presented pre-prepared frequency lists from the Gigafida 2.0 and GOS 1.0 corpora, which are now openly available on the CLARIN.SI repository. The event took place on Tuesday, 19 November 2019, at the Jožef Stefan Institute.
